A prop left over from a TV detective series, which was being filmed in the neighborhood... the facade of an apartment building, reminds me of the window Vertov's camera zooms in thru to a woman, asleep in her bed. A painted wooden box, the beginnings of a tenement dolls house, which I find on Mulberry street, offers a way to play Gordon Matta-Clark, cutting holes and slicing through it, the 3D puzzle that is architecture ...and finally the demolition of an attic room, exposing the anatomony of the building as body...and that's the story of THE TOY SON
